


Children Available:
Infants from 11 months of age and children to twelve years and some are sibling groups. Children are located in various areas of the former Soviet Union, reside in orphanages, and have been relinquished for adoption. Referral of boys is generally faster than that of girls.
Eligibility:
The Russian Republic and areas of the former Soviet Union are very flexible. Singles and couples may adopt, including families with other children in the family. Age to 50 years and prior divorce are acceptable. Travel by both adoptive parents is required.
Services the Agency Provides:

| Preparation of home study for Michigan families. We do accept home studies from other states licensed child placing agencies. | |
| Supply necessary forms required for Russian adoption and assistance with dossier preparation. | |
| Translation of dossier and delivery of documents to appropriate persons in Russia. | |
| Agency representative in Russia will arrange in-country travel, hotel, translation services, assistance with completion of necessary paperwork and representation in court and at US Embassy. | |
| Arrange for child's passport and visa to the United States. | |
| Coordination and assistance with required post-placement reports. |
General Information:
The child(ren) reside in an orphanage. Photographs, and medical information are available on each child. If you have additional questions, our coordinators in country follow up and provide responses to questions whenever possible.
When the child leaves Russia the status is a full adoption. You will receive a final adoption decree from the court in Russia and a birth certificate with the name(s) you specify. The parents must provide post-placement reports by a licensed child placing agency for three years, twice the first year and annually thereafter for years two and three.
Adopted children must be registered with the Russian consulate.
