Children Available: Infants from eight months of age and children to twelve years. All reside in orphanages, and have been relinquished for adoption. Eligibility: The Kazak Republic is very flexible. Singles and couples may adopt, including families with other children in the family. Single men are not allowed per Kazakhstan. Applicants should be over 21 years of age. There is no maximum age and prior divorce is acceptable. Services the Agency Provides:
General Information: The child(ren) reside in an orphanage.Children are European/caucasian or oriental. Upon submission of documentation to Kazakhstan, referral of a child or children is generated. Siblings are sometimes available. May not adopt two unrelated children. Background and medical information is available on each child. If you have additional questions, our coordinators in country follow up and provide the additional information whenever possible. In most cases, the dossier is sent and the family will be matched with a child in a few months. The family usually travels a few weeks to a few months after the match. The parents travel to Kazakhstan to complete the adoption. Travel in country is three or four weeks. The parents may remain the entire duration or make two trips if they desire. Both parents must travel to be present in court. One parent may leave after court while the remaining parent remains while the child's passport and visa are obtained. When the child leaves Kazakhstan the status is a full adoption. You will receive a final adoption decree from the court. The parents must provide post-placement reports by a licensed child placing agency. The parents must register the child with the Kazakhstan consulate upon arrival in the United States. Reports are every six months for a period of three years. If you do not have a valid US passport, please allow enough time to obtain one. A visa is required for entry into Kazakhstan.
